Pommard Noizons 2020, red wine : 2 stars "coup de coeur"!

This is a truly superb example of wines from this southward facing climat, well known by connoisseurs of Pommard : very distinguished, on the nose it has juicy notes of fresh cassis and black cherries with a touch of liquorice and vanilla ; it is well structured, fresh and tannic with a supple texture on first taste then round and rich followed by a long finish. Suitably robust with high potential, this appellation has all the characteristics of a 1er cru.

Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 2020, white wine : 2 stars

This greatest 1er cru benefits from sunlight during most of the day being ideally located on land facing south/south-east. The wine is bright in colour with shades of green when young ; it is pleasant on the nose with touches of vanilla, toast, citrus fruit and white blossom all well combined in the mouth with an aroma of candied peach, giving a fin vivaciousness. There is fruit, texture and freshness - everything that constitutes a good wine.
