A new ecosystem taking root at the estate

In December 2025, we embarked on a new project to promote biodiversity across the estate. 65 trees were planted, including willows, alders, ash trees, hornbeams, poplars and lime trees. We also created three hedgerows and dug a pond.

Just a few months later, in April 2026, the pond was already welcoming its first visitors: ducks coming to paddle and enjoy the water!

But the summer of 2026 proved to be a real challenge.

Faced with severe drought, the young trees and hedgerows had to withstand particularly difficult conditions. Unfortunately, the pond also dried up during the summer. We will now work on improving its drainage and rainwater collection, in order to encourage its natural replenishment.

We are now hoping for a sufficiently wet winter to allow the vegetation to grow stronger, and above all, for a "normal" summer in 2027, giving it the time it needs to continue developing.
